Modular construction in Poland with an optimistic future
The Polish Investment and Trade Agency has published a report which shows that by 2030, the modular construction market in Poland could reach a value of PLN 7 billion. The years 2025-2026 may be particularly important due to financing from the National Reconstruction Plan (KPO).
Forecast growth of the sector
Analysts at the Polish Investment and Trade Agency estimate that in 2024, the total revenue of the 100 largest Polish manufacturers of prefabricated buildings made of wood, steel, concrete, and expanded clay concrete amounted to PLN 9.9 billion. Almost half of this (PLN 4.8 billion) came from the modular building segment. Preliminary data for 2024 indicate a market growth of over 4% to PLN 5.1 billion.
According to PAIH, by 2030, the modular construction market in Poland has the potential to reach a value of PLN 7 billion. In 2025-2026, a large inflow of funds from the National Reconstruction Plan is expected, the spending of which is subject to time constraints. The modular construction sector is well-positioned to meet these challenges.
Green construction = construction of the future
Cost and time pressure, openness to new technologies, insufficient housing, expanding prefabrication facilities, alternative prefabrication technologies, and Polish prefabricated elements recognized on the European market as being of good quality are factors that may cause a shift towards modular construction.
The authors of the report predict that modular prefabricated construction has great export potential. On the largest markets
